Production company
The production company may be directly responsible for fundraising for the production or may accomplish this through a parent company, partner, or private investor. It handles budgeting, scheduling, scripting, the supply with talent and resources, the organization of staff, the production itself, post-production, distribution, and marketing.
Production companies are often either owned or under contract with a media conglomerate, film studio, entertainment company, or Motion Picture Company, who act as the production company's partner or parent company. This has become known as the "studio system". They can also be mainstream, independent or completely independent. In the case of TV, a TV production company would serve under a television network. Production companies can work together in co-productions. |

Title of the movie
For our title research we looked at saw 2, insidious and sinister. It is important to make sure that the titles compliment the genre and film being produced. The title screen is very important within a trailer and as it fits in with all of the other titles that are all interlinked with each other.
The reason this is placed with in the trailer is to allow the audience to gain better knowledge about the backstory in the plot of the movie itself. For example, the title 'Saw' is a fearful word when used in a horror context. Another reason is to allow a build up of tension for the audience because if the audience are confronted with scary and fearful title pages then their imaginations will always assume the worst. When the title appears near the end of the credits it allows the audience to watch the entire trailer and whether or not they enjoy it will determine if they take a note of the title at the end and will want to watch the film when it is released. The title needs to be one of the most memorable title pages in the trailer itself. The details of the film will be displayed on the very final screen of the trailer, this is too allow the audience to first off, find out any more information about the film, like behind the scenes footage and/or premiere times and this will also be displayed at the end of the trailer because they want the public to interact with the film staff and build a stable and good relationship with the target audience. |
